I love babies. I love mommas. And I know that pregnancy is not always unicorns and rainbows and parenting definitely is not. I get real tired of people pretending otherwise. I also get real tired of systems remaining unchanged when the people in power spout "prolife" slogans.
Bell pepper plant. Anyone know what this bug/weird problem is?
Here's a photo of me being who I am in Italy a decade ago with three men I'd just met. I was trying to find out all about them because they seemed so interesting (all old Italians were fascinating) and they were just as interested in me. We stumbled through with my limited Italian and their limited English and this photo always reminds me that you really CAN get along with anyone if you're open enough.
That part about work-from-home and choosing to stay home. ❤ Those years were best *and* hardest but they mattered and made a positive difference.
Teaching religious education is no walk in the park. Especially in a year that started with COVID masks, distancing, and children who were so emotionally fragile.
@greatergoodcharities and my son, third from the right, in POLAND visiting one of food banks Greater Good is helping to get food to Ukrainian refugees coming into Poland. My grandmother was Polish and I cry seeing this photo knowing what her family did to get out of Poland nearly years ago and be welcomed into the U.S. I am proud of our son's organization (and our son), I am proud of the Polish people, am in awe of a country opening its arms, without reservation, to strangers.
